Apparantly a sizeable offer has been made to the council from someone who you could say is not a great fan of Halifax Rlfc.If accepted rugby would have to play elsewhere.

It's a pie in sky offer IMO.But something has to happen regarding the pitch.

I think there is definitely going to be (and has to) some change and Cllr Baines is certainly a more stronger leader than who he replaced. The council still has a duty to both clubs however that what is put in place is fair and regardless of issues over past (or current if there are any) rent arrears, etc, they wont be seen to put in place something which favours one club over the other.

What they do need to do though is put firm guidelines forward so that both clubs know of the consequences should either fall into arrears with their rent. Such as not been able to use the pitch if 7 days behind with their rent. Locked out of the stadium if a month behind with their rent. Etc. CMBC can easily do this without pointing fingers or being seen to take sides.

I've heard some details about this offer and there simply isn't a chance it will go through.

What details have you seen and where are they so we can all have a read? People have started this thread and people like your self saying they have seen it but what have you seen. Pray do tell.

a bigger offer could be made by someone with the opposite views.
but cant see any sponsor being able to say who, what, where, either club plays.
but agree with bubba, something has got to change.

The pitch sponsor is B&Q
They will bag all the sand that is on the pitch sell it in their Halifax store and the vast profit will buy enough lawn seed to make a grass pitch.
Town fans will be encouraged to help the grass grow by roaming on it and depositing their plentiful quantities of bull sheite.
