Re: Swinton : Mon Apr 16, 2018 6:56 pm
We were pretty rubbish for 60 minutes, but Swinton weren't the better team. The Lions gave it their all but they're a level below Fax, other than their scrum half and one of their centres, who both had great games. It was Fax that squandered the chances, with both Swinton tries coming from errors on our part. One thing that totally bemused me was Muzza's "no try". He planted the ball an inch or two from the line and then rolled it over onto the whitewash all in one motion (I was in the South Stand directly in line with this). I'm not sure of the ruling on this, but I'd have thought it was either a try (the ball hit the whitewash) or a penalty (for grounding short and promoting the ball to the whitewash). Does anyone have a clue what the correct decision should be? I'll ask on the VT as well, 'cos this is bugging me!!
