Sorry, HX Sparky, but I don't believe for one minute that other clubs' supporters are "pleased" we've done well. I wouldn't be for another team. But maybe I'm bitter and twisted? Not really, just honest.
Tony, if we had lost our place in the top 4 'suddenly' on points difference yesterday, then I wouldn't have been congratulating anybody on Sunday. But as this happened last weekend barring a miracle or 3, I was pretty 'chilled out' about it all. As a part time side, you deserve my genuine congratulations.
Good to see we have the whinging whinos down the Shay, but don't get too excited about having a massive crowd. The "reigning SL champions" fans are somewhat fickle, and barely 2 and a half grand attended Salford - v Whinos last Friday. Hardly any whino fans attended the TV match at Wigan, and remember the sub 2 grand attendance at Widnes in the CC. So get braced for a less than half empty North Stand for their visit, probably less than what Fev bring! But hopefully the Fax fans will turn out in numbers!
If the Rhinos only manage to win 3 or 4 games against the SL bottom 3 sides plus the admittedly improved rabble of Championship sides compared to previous years, then we fully deserve to be relegated
Well this is what one poster thought on the Leeds Forum & they wonder why they are not liked. To be fair some posters said they were looking fwd to visiting the Shay again
Still celebrating a fantastic achievement from a set of players who play as a team and play for the shirt which make me so proud of them, proved me wrong after that horrendous Friendly match at Wakey and losing all our other friendlies I was fearing a tough season and 6th at best, WELL DONE LADS!
Belated congratulations to all at 'Fax. There have been lots of 'ifs' and 'maybes' from the rest of us but, at the end of the day, the league table does not lie - after 23 rounds.
Fax's achievements these past three seasons have been astonishing, and I wish we could copy what you have, and bottle it.
I'll be rooting for you in the 8's and am confident you are going to make life very uncomfortable for some of the 'fancied' teams.

Obviously, supporters of other Championship clubs would have preferred their team to get into the top four. I would much rather Leigh had been there - but I think we Leythers have a close affinity with Halifax (and Featherstone - sorry! ) and would always support you in the coming competition, especially before a North American team, a European one, and a Southern one. It's a no-brainer, isn't it?!
There's been a lot of talk amongst Leythers, about that goal kick at Blackpool, and other 'unfortunate' decisions, but we have all conveniently forgotten how we nicked both points off you at LSV, when we probably only deserved one.
Have a great 'Middle 8's' - I'm sure you will see many Leythers supporting you.
nice to see you have a good chance of getting into super league be great to see you back in there, I've fond memories of talking my mrs to her first game at yours when you played wigan in the Challenge cup when Lydon fluke a drop goal from the half way line, it was one hell of a day bitter cold but it didn't put her off the game and me too for taking her there. for a couple of yrs I been also selling Trinity beers in and around the Halifax area and it went down well with your real drinkers so you've got my support cross fingers good luck in the 8s
