I might be wrong but can someone help me understand this. On Thursday Toronto announced they have just signed Mason Caton-Brown until the end of the season and for the qualifiers. How can this be done when the dead line for new signings was Friday 27 July Have I Missed something or am I just being thick

However, the cynics may argue that it's because Toronto are subject to different rules, but the RL don't want to see they're giving Toronto special treatment so they pretended it was done a week earlier.

And on the same theme I noticed yesterday that Salford have signed a player from Hull FC and he can also play in the middle eights!

All very suspicious. I'd think it very odd if Fax announced a signing today but claimed it was closed before the deadline.
