I think it’s safe to say we all feel like we’re short in the pack. JJB and Ferres aren’t their former selves, Cuthbertson could be heading that way. We sold garbutt. Galloway retired last year. Ward is usually injured half the season. Mullally, Walters, Donaldson, sutcliffe, ormandroyd you would say are all quite lucky to be at Leeds. With only singo, Crosby, peteru, Merrin, oledski, ablett, Smith, ward when injury free, your top forwards for a club serious about winning things.
Obviously we have restrictions through the salary cap which means every club needs to carry some squad players. However I think we all feel we carry too many.
If we need to offload players to free up cap space (as we’ve been told). Then I’m happy to go with what we’ve got until next year. Then have a real push for honours.
But my question is, other than JJB who is actually off contract next year and who would we be likely to get rid of from that list?
