Maybe him and Zak could do alternate years at the Pies - play one year, banned the next etc.

Maybe nowhere. The sport as a whole really needs to take a stand against poor player behaviour. We’re all entitled to the odd mistake but the amount of violence towards women, substance abuse etc. is just ridiculous.

Players need to understand that the good name of the game has primacy over their own personal demons.

You have to wonder whether Barba was a saint at Saints too, or the profile of SL is lower so that clubs are more able to cover things up.
I think Leeds tried manfully with Hardaker over years; we probably don’t know the half of it.
He was exited very quickly from NRL.
I get that players aren’t robots but we do give talented players far too much rope sometimes, which of course some take full advantage of.

You're right that the talent is one of the issues - both Barba and Hardaker are incredibly talented so teams will be willing to take a punt where they wouldn't bother for a lesser player, particularly if they're struggling to find a team and that can be used to keep their wages low.

Ormondroyd and Walters signed for Fev, we are clearing some space on our cap finally
