Leeds' star Moon heading back to the NRL

Joel Moon is to leave Leeds Rhinos at the end of the 2018 season and move back to the NRL, according to League Weekly.

John Davidson is the man with the report on Moon’s future with the Australian journalist having spoken to the Leeds’ player’s agent on the matter.

Moon is off-contract at the Rhinos and is set for pastures new, with his agent admitting there is serious interest back in the NRL for a player who once turned out for the likes of Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors.

“Joel has interest from six NRL clubs to return home and, despite good offers in Super League, he would like to finish his Super League club career with Leeds,” Moon’s agent Chris Fellas explained. “We haven’t yet agreed in terms of the NRL, but expect to do so in the coming weeks.”

Moon has been an excellent servant for us and i for one wish him the very best.

It's a shame he's lost a bit of his mojo this season - but at least he's made his decision and not held us to ransom.

Best of luck back in the NRL Joel.

Now get that salary spent elsewhere asap GH.

Wish him all the best. He's been a champion player here + will always get a warm welcome should he ever visit us.

Good luck Joel Moon, been a great Centre for us. It seems the parting is coming at the right time as he needs a new challenge and we need to refresh our squad.

He has been a great player to watch and I wish him all the best, maybe if its settled he may improve for the latter end of the season knowing his future is sorted? as someone who has had homesickness I know what it's like and it affects everything you do in life, so if he really is wanting to go home him knowing that he is going to be doing that may help his form.

Is it a different homesickness to when he left Salford?

Yes. He was sick of his home in Salford.

Quite understandable. Amusing quote from Salford coaching staff when moon was homesick and then moved to Leeds .
We never realised Leeds was close to Sydney.

Spiritually close.
