He’d be great for them. I think he’d get a much better culture in there and is a massive step up from Rowley.

Asmuch as he got stick on here (some justified lots not) many of the players he has coached speak very very highly of him and his ability to get the teams up for the big games is pretty much second to none, which is what Toronto need, its all very well battering championship teams at the lower end of the table but next year will be a much bigger challenge for them and I think they need a change and hopefully they can stop the bully boy tactics and actually start winning the important games. I think McDermott would be a good choice for them, did anyone else get the impression from Rowley's interview after the game that he wouldn't be there next year? I did.

And many of them don't.

He'd go there with an expectation of winning because he has a crop of players that you would expect to excel in the division they are in. Similar to the way Leeds was when he was in charge really.

Bit of a poisoned chalice that job I think- if you get promoted it's because you've bought promotion and if you don't you've underachieved. Just the kind of environment BM would relish I think...

I'm not convinced he is right for them in the long term. Totally agree with the squad at his disposal he would get them promoted.

But then the trouble would start. The team they come up with will struggle without new signings and his record at doing that at Leeds was patchy - though you may argue that was hetheringtons fault. Just not sure he could go and build a squad capable of climbing up SL once they are in.

He's just the man to coach a senior team of seasoned pros.

With the correct backroom team and someone looking after the purse strings with regards to recruitment he's a perfect fit.

I think long term you may well be right but if they're purely interested in the here and now/getting promoted I reckon he'd do a job.

Any half decent coach should get them out of the Championship really.Mac would be a good choice. Agree with Fallon though, how far he could take them beyond promotion is well up for debate.
