We should be thankful of that. But “legend” sounds like bloody kids talk, when you throw it round like confetti, and seriously puts down the true meaning.

I get Gotcha's point and agree that too many are labelled legends, but JJB is surely fitting of the title. This is a guy whose career might never have got started because of serious injuries. He's overcome the physical and mental hurdles to play a big part in the most successful period for this club and any club in the Super League era. To make out he's average is had dropping! Maybe he didn't have the impact of a JP but to do what he's done, at that level for so many years makes him a legend in my eyes. Summed him up in that game at Wigan when he did his cruciate but still got up for a quick play of the ball. This guy is Leeds to his core and has put his body on the line than any other in our modern history

JJB average???? Jeez hope we have a lot more average players in the future then. He has been an outstanding player for the club for a long period of time. Yeah he shouldve retired by now but that doesn't deminish the great career he's had and the vital part he has been in great success.

There is a difference between been part of a golden generation, and a “legend”. Simply throwing down the term is completely ignoring and undermining what credit should be given to the true influences, and of similar in the past.

By all means use the term legendary team, but for individuals there needs to be far more influence than that. Only one was a true Legend, and another was a legend of the game.

All the players i have named there are legends of the Club they are some of the most decorated and successful players in the game in the super league era.

I find it amazing that a player of such consistency, loyalty and reliability is being classed as average. In the golden era he was an integral part of our squad. He will realise that he won’t be expected to do long minutes but what an influence to have in the dressing room. Let’s not dilute what he has done and if he can pass on anything that will benefit our new clan all the better.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

If JJB is a legend what are Sinfield and McGuire?

They are also Legend’s.

Leeds’s achievements over the last 15 years should not be underestimated. We are not restricted to one or two legends in that time frame. Remember the golden generation are the most successful side Leeds have had ever. They are also the most successful Super League side ever.

Legends also id go as far as saying those 2 plus JP & Burrow are "Immortals" that doesn't mean Jjb is any less deserving as being honoured as a Legend.

Whilst I agree with everyone on here about JJB to say his contribution and his status ranks alongside Sinfield's doesn't do justice to Sinfield's contribution to the success

JP And Sinfield are all time RL greats and are hall of famers in waiting along with Adrien Morley.
McGuire and burrow are super league greats, (Mcguire was criminally overlooked for the atonal side)

JJB club great,

What it boils down too is everyones opinion of a player and how much you think they have given to your club and impacted it and imo JJB is a Leeds legend for his commitment, determination, selflessness and Success.
