Dreadful first half and thankfully Cas were not that good either.
Thought we got the 50/50 calls tonight.
Wouldn`t it be good if we had another prop like Lisone who makes the yards?
It also gives us the platform to play on the front foot.
Miller, Handley, McDonnell top 3 for us.
Reported that both Newman and Bentley failed the HIA.
Can we recall Ruan?

Miller is turning out to be a decent player.

Think Newman passed his but has a very deep
Cut. It’s all been said about the first half, think they got 6 drop
Outs , we did defend well but Cas had no cutting edge.
I agree with most posts on here but we got the win and have won at Leigh and Cas, we lost both last season.
At half time , me and my son agreed we won’t go to any more away matches this year as it’s just awful to watch us sit in our half .

1st half was just a two teams who didn't play conditions well and slugged away at each other.

2nd half we looked very goof granted Cas are a poor team but you can only beat what's in front of you Miller, Momirovski & Croft all turned their skills on in 2nd half and it was great to watch. Lisone was great off the bench he did exactly what you'd expect a impact prop off the subs to do. A Much needed win after a couple of poor results. Hopefully as we move into warmer weather we showcase more quality performances.

On a side note I'm told Tom Holroyd may have fallen out with Rohan Smith and he could be looking for a way out of the club only time will tell.

His absence was really odd on a heavy pitch today - I suspected he’d been dropped for the daft penalty he conceded against Saints.

I think we need to start looking at games as a whole: we were compressed but not broken in the first half. I thought Cas had blown themselves out trying to Cup Final Leeds again; when we increased the pace second half they struggled to match us.

Lisone changed that game 100%. Makes you wonder what it could do for us having another like him in the middle.

Thought most performances were “solid” but Lisone, Miller, McDonnell, Croft and Handley stood out most.

Agree about Croft, he is class act on the front foot and best games by Miller and Momorovski.
I hope
You are wrong about Holroyd , there have been too many falling out with Smith and wanting out. I can’t believe many if any forwards enjoy playing after you Claude , Rohan ball.

Holroyd picked up a badly bruised elbow during the Saints game, that's why he didn't play.

As soon as I saw the conditions I thought the game would be like it was in the first half. The way we defend is incredibly frustrating and frankly, mystifying at times, but we aren't conceding my line breaks, nevermind trys, so it is effective to some degree, but I'm pretty sure if we give Wire anywhere near that amount of sustained pressure and territory like we did in that first half, we'll be lucky to be in the game by HT.
Still, we won the game comfortably despite only having 15 men for the 2nd half in a fixture we struggle in historically, so pretty content overall.

Anyone know what’s going Gannon injury wise?
