No so much punishing but they are hurting and will be itching to prove themselves. I'd be tempted to let them get back out and vent against Cov rather than give them another frustrating week to wait and risk them trying too hard and over playing again Donny.

To be right, I think we've seen enough of JK to realise he's not one for making wholesale changes, so I think it'll probably be 'steady as she goes'.

I wonder if we'll be taking the two as often as lately..

I imagine it will be largely the same lineup with maybe a few tweaks for tired bodies. Kear will have sent the message that the performance wasn’t good enough but I don’t see the panic button being pressed yet.

Respect to Coventry but we should have too much for them and then it’s onto maintaining our push for promotion

The only 2 changes I could see would be Halafihi & Kirk coming in. They've both played well in the games they've had (including reserves) and they've both been in the 19man squad a few times & been left out. I'm not sure who would miss out instead though

Even though Peltier has been excellent I'd rest him for this game and bring in Kirk. I'd also consider bringing in Goodall.

I'd rest Garside too. Give someone like Hodgson a run out.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

Steve Crossley says the Team is not looking forward to the horror show replay of yesterday, going by the highlights it looked like a case of unforced errors, lack of of discipline and then lethargy creeping in during the 2nd half!
Hopefully JK's Butt Kicking will have the desired effect next match!

Chissy plays this weekend as I think he'll get a ban next week. It's an odd one though, his feet are planted, he then jumps to the right, his right hand grabs the Town player round the chin, (so no clothesline style forearm) but as he spins round, he gets his left hand under his shoulder and his right hand shifts up to the right side of his head so he partly cushions his fall to the ground. There was no head injury, neck was clear & I think he played on. It looked bad at the time, but it was definitely a grab rather than a clothesline shot, and they're normally not treated as severely. So 1-2matches? Depends on the initial grading these days.

Jumping off the ground to effect a tackle is a bit reckless. Think he may get a ban. If he misses thd cup game so be it. Want him back and playing well for Doncaster which is another toughie.

Think Hodgson is injured.

We lost at Workington due to poor discipline, bad decision making and inability to keep calm heads and see out a game that was there for the winning.

We all know we had at least one great opportunity to set up and execute what WOULD have been the winning DG, but failed to do it.

These were simple lessons. I hope some of the players have learned them. Getting beat will have hurt.

Worky kept their discipline better, worked as hard as us, and kept their heads at the key moments.

I don't see that anything Kear does or doesn't do in team selection against Coventry is going to be material. Any team we put out will stuff Coventry and everyone knows it, so being dropped or rested should be purely for the merits of the game and condition and in particular mindset of the players. If someone deserves dropping because in Kear's view they didn't perform as he expects then a private word in their ear and a seat on the benches may suffice to make the point rather than public floggings.

Yeah, I read that and immediately thought, 'what? we didn't film it did we'.

To be honest, I always assumed the Bulls' TV video doubled up as the training video (minus the commentary, of course) but maybe I'm wrong and the training video went ahead without problems? I guess as it's not for public consumption then it was OK?
