Perhaps I'm being a tad cynical but I did wonder at the time if was the old fashioned way that players used to get a bit of time off by deliberately getting banned

His sending off was for an instinctive and (imo) non-malicious arm, at the back end of the game, thrown out by a tired player who had been 'stepped'. At least it is just the one game and one we were never going to win anyway.

He's one of those players that can do something brilliant but can also have the odd brainfart. He's an experienced player and someone that the young lads look up to so he has to set an example. I expect Kear has impressed that on him.
