The teaser video is very good - simple, but gets the message across re the importance of the game, and sums up just what makes people still support the Bulls through the pain and misery of the last few years.

I have to admit to being nervous about this game, 2 points and we are all but promoted, lose and we can`t afford to slip up again. Do we have a fully fit squad? Whatever happens I hope both clubs are in the Championship next year as York are a club on the up and I would love another day out in the York pubs.

Laithwaite sounds like he's definitely out. Shame, as it's the biggest game of the season for both clubs.

Smith & Laithwaite appear to be the only doubts through injury.

Agreed. Great club on the up (as well as a new stadium) and putting some SL clubs to shame with their off-field stuff (while other SL chairman moan Catalans bring no away fans, York got a 3500 crowd for their cup game with them) People also forget York had real off-field problems around the same time we did, they weren't in the original fixtures release for last season only later being added and i'm sure they only had 15 players for their first game (happy to be corrected if i'm wrong) so they have come a long way

Regarding the game, IF we win, without trying to sound like an "arrogant Bulls fan who thinks they're bigger than the game etc", but i think that's promotion sealed. We'd be 2 wins better off plus a much better points so we'd have to lose 3 times, considering we've only lost once (which I think that was down to Chalmers rather than the players) I can't see us losing 3 games and that's also taking into account York not losing another game.

A massive massive game though, we are better than when we played them earlier in the season, but i think they are too and i expect it to be just as tight as last time. Hopefully a big crowd, the video is superb.

Safe travels to the York contingent coming over.

The York game is huge. I agree that if we win we’re definite favourites to finish top and get the automatic promotion place. Lose and it’s down to points difference (not withstanding any further slipups).

Neither side is in great form. Although we won in difficult conditions at Hunslet we did look disorganised at times and we won’t get away with lapses in defence especially out wide and around the ruck. They only just beat Skolars so they too are hardly breaking any pots either. I think it’ll be a nervy game and as close as the match at their place. I’ve got butterflies already.

Looking forward to this one, I saw some memorable Cas wins at Odsal and some forgetable defeats - top tip: don't give a youngster his Castleford debut at Odsal on the wing facing Vainikolo!

But if York could pull off a win this would top those Tigers victories.

I've just made the following point on the York board: It's only 3 years since the Knights were homeless and volunteers were helping to put temporary seats up for a league game at Heworth (Amateur Rugby League Club), a match which probably drew 300 or so.

Fast forward to now, and I'd imagine 400 or so will travel across with the belief York have a genuine chance of victory. The club and everyone connected with it have come a long way in those 3 years, and although I think Bradford will shade it hopefully the progress on and off the field will see York joining you in the championship next season. Fingers crossed anyway!
