Sufficed to say there's no real option that I would go for. I think it's somewhere between the bottom 2 in that there's still a chance, but it's a much lower one than it was a week ago.

My only real hope for automatic promotion is that York get over confident and blow it against one of Workington, Oldham or Whitehaven, which I believe is a possibility. All three are pushing for a top 5 finish so won't be push overs (although I thought that about Hunslet last weekend too).

In comparison, we need to probably just not screw up at Oldham which is easier said than done.

I'm somewhere between no.1 and no.2. Feel promotion is still a fair bit more likely than not but can't now be wholly certain, I don't know how that performance hit the team's confidence level but I'm guessing it's certainly hit the fan's and it's definitely hit mine.
As for playing Worky in the play-offs, it's right that Leon has our number but we now surely have his? We'll clearly need our biggest pack on duty and hopefully a referee who will cut out some of the niggle and keep the game moving, but I feel we have the most skilful side and have plenty of strike potential if the forwards give them a better platform than they provided on Sunday. I many ways we were unlucky to lose in Workington but deserved to at Odsal. We'll need our 'A' game and a different attitude, I just hope we've still got them and JK can bring them out.

If we were to get to the playoff final would we be at home by virtue of finishing 2nd?

The Barrow v Haven final last year was played at Craven Park, so unless the rules have changed, I would assume so.

In that case, if it were against Workington I'm going to stick my neck out and say we absolutely and utterly destroy them. They try to enact the same gameplan as in their two wins, and wily Kear has had weeks to plan how to nullify it. There, I've said it. Eeek.

I still have confidence in Kear, but it looks to me like the team as a whole is a bit too inexperienced to do what he tells them to for 80 minutes, so I'm not confident. Worky exposed our shortcomings, we have failed or come close to failing in the pressure games (esp losing at home to York and Worky) so you can't be confident. I wouldn't blame Kear if we failed. He looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp in the presscon and haven't seen him as visibly fuming as that for a while.

Yes

Semi Finals would be 2nd vs 5th and 3rd vs 4th. Final at the ground of the highest placed qualifier.

So assuming we finish 2nd (surely we cannot blow that!) then both the semi and the final (if we qualify for it) will be at Odsal
