Watching it live I felt it was always going to be red but after he broke 2 tackles Patton tried the tackle but got it all wrong. Suppose you can't prove one way or other if it was malicious but in slow motion it looks grim

Getting it all wrong?
You have never ever being allowed to tackle someone by jumping up so you can swing your arm with a clenched fist directly into the face of an opponent. There is ZERO attempt at a 'tackle' on show or acted out.

Don't think his fist connected? Don't know what else you want? Red card. Ban incoming very unfortunate for winger with 2 big whacks in a few week? The disciplinary committee rulings for both reds will be interesting?

Doesn't matter if it connected he still had a clenched fist which shows intent, also you implied he got the tackle 'wrong', as in he attempted a tackle, it wasn't an attempt at a tackle, not even close.
I'm clearing up your mis-interpretation of what happened.

The commentators on last nights game got beyond tedious. They were still rattling on about try no try calls from the refs 2 full sets after the VR decision.

There was zero talk about what was actually happening on the pitch. O'Connor is beyond tedious with his soundbites, its as if he has to get them all in and crosses them off one at a time regardless if they have anything to do with the game or not.

Then Hemmings, why does he seem to pick a favourite before kick off and harp on about him regardless of if he's playing well or not. Last nights was connor, give it a rest man.

I gave up on Sky commentary a long time ago due to the incessant artificial controversy week in week out.

It's clear we're not going to have a revamp for
quite some time. Don't know why Hemmings continues to do it other than the money.

Actually to be fair to Clarke, what he did say was one of hulls failures in the past is their lack of producing their own local players, but then want on to say how they have improved in they aspect, cant believe i am saying this but you have done him a disservice.

Some might look at this as being harsh but I think it's fair. When are the Rugby League going to stop persisting with this fantasy expansion. If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

Barrie calmly talking about how Hull weren't good enough on the night but could learn from their mistakes while they were in possession and chasing a 4 point lead with three minutes to go just about summed up the problem with this awful group. Stevo used to talk nonsense but at least he tried his best to make the games exciting and engaging for the fans, not actively suck the life out of an exciting match.
