Wakey were not that good, so you couldn't really say Catalan troubled them. I could understand it if Wakey were world beaters, but the "superstars" of Catalan really should have walked away with the points today.

Like i say, beat by a Wakey mid to poor performance.

Yes he was wrong COKEY COLA. Catalans did trouble Wakefield. Catalans were leading at one point and only lost by two points. Ask any Wakefield player if they were troubled or not by Catalans' opposition. Obviously they were. Otherwise Wakefield would have won by a much bigger margin.

Wakey were not that good because Catalans defence stifled Wakefield's attack for 90% of the game.

Catalans must have troubled Wakefield because Catalans was ahead for part of the match.

No point spanking teams at this point in the season. Catalans played well, but even when they were in front, never looked like winning. Clueless on almost every final play and only really made any headway through Wakefield giving away silly penalties. I suspect they could come good, they have some good players and will begin to make their home a bit of a fortress as the season goes on

When Catalans get Michael McIlorum and Paul Aiton back, and Luke Walsh as well, and when Anthony Gigot (who was excellent today) has a few more games under his belt, Catalans will start winning. I expect them to make the top 8 by season's end.

Only four game gone and twenty three to go. We saw glimpses today of what David Mead and Anthony Gigot can do. Just consider what a difference Michael McIlorum and Paul Aiton alternating the hooking position will do for the definitely improving Catalans team.
