JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Crunch Time in Perpignan! Next game is away to Leeds, so if they are going to part company with their coach then this would be the time as they'll not be expected to win at Headingley and as such, any new/interim coach would have time to prepare for some key fixtures coming up. Of the next 4 games they simply have to win 2 of them. I don't see them beating FC in Hull, but they have a chance at Salford and hosting Wire and HKR....if they don't pick up 4 points I can genuinely seem them on ZERO come Magic Weekend.
As much as Chorley John would love to attend a French Derby in SL, I can see him flying out from Manchester for Toulouse v Catalans in the 2019 RL Championship.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

I don't get it we don't even play them in the next four games and yet you seem to want to throw them a lifeline with a chance against us ?
next four up Leeds A Hull KR H Warrington H Hull A

I mentioned the Leeds game and then said the next 4, meaning the next 4 after the Leeds game. HKR,Hull, Wire and Salford....sorry if it wan't clear. I think they are going down regardless, but was simply commenting on the timing of when they will part company with their coach and musing that doing it now would give the incumbent a better chance AFTER the Leeds game which they will be expected to lose.

I got ya...
I see them winning maybe one in the next five at best.
I don't think we will win at Leeds, and I don't McNamara will be in charge after this coming weekend.
Considering the lack of first choice pivots that you had against Trinity, I'm not sure how much more McNamara could have done. There was certainly no lack of effort and it was only some determined effort in defence by Trinity, that prevented Catalan picking up the points. I know there were chances bombed by both sides but, with some halves and a first choice 9, you will be picking up a few "W's" pretty soon and if Widnes can beat Leeds, you have every chance.
