Laudable London look like the real deal. They are comfortably beating tremendous Toronto. Frivolous Featherstone are trouncing shambolic Sheffield. Brittle Batley do not seem to have much trouble beating bumbling Barrow. Dire Dewsbury are running away from swindling Swinton.

Tremendous Toronto is paying the price for relying on players and a coach from lowly Leigh. London is giving Toronto a thrashing. It should be a full house for the return game in Toronto.

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.  |

Discipline and doing the basics well, will get you a good finish in the Championship, as will a very well drilled defense. That said, because many us doubted his abilities when appointed, it is worth pointing out that Rob Powell guided us to wins against Leeds, St Helens, Crusaders and Catalans in his first 5 games in 2011 before then guiding us to 12th place in 2011  .....so let's not get too carried away just yet

An under strength but still terrific Toulouse manages to score scores six tries against lowly Leigh, in the face of a large hostile crowd of thousands of unemployed or underemployed screaming hooligans. That is not a bad performance by Toulouse.

It would appear the Leigh (9th) and Toronto (5th) have some work to do.....outstanding result from a side reduced to 12 men away from France and top of the table is looking like an expansionists wet dream.
