I've never been entirely convinced that a fair wedge of his touch screen analysis isn't - how do I put this politely - b0ll0cks. Apparently not though!

I don't think his touch screen stuff is actually that good, it's just that the other Sky guys are so annoying people make Wells out to be great in comparison.

will this mean he leaves the sky team. or can he continue if cas aren't playing. i like his analysis even if he over analyses sometimes.

Good. With Barry, Terry and Eddie now rehashing a sort of three-man Eddie Waring tribute act, the intelligent and occasionally hard-edged critical analysis of someone like Wells is essential to prevent our sport being portrayed solely as an overly-muscled 'It's A Knockout' joke.

Wells is one of the good guys and comes across with knowledge and intellect, something lacking in some other pundits.

Nevertheless I still prefer Australian half backs Peter Sterling, formerly of Parramatta Eels, and especially Andrew Johns, formerly of Newcastle Knights, for their insights into the game.
