Would be interesting to see how Toronto go in another season of the Championship. How many seasons in the second tier would they last before investors, players and fans started to jump ship?

Only thing that matters is the investor. I think fans are more likely to become bored watching a crap team in SL than a team winning week in week out at that level. Players will stay as long as they're paying as much as SL teams. So depends how long Argylle wants to prop them up for.

I think they’d be fast tracked into SL before they spent to many seasons in the championship

Anyone who thinks there were 7,500 there yesterday needs to put down the Kool-Aid. As a Wakefield fan I know a 4k crowd when I see one.

Exactly. So I know full well what 4k people inside a rugby ground looks like and it looks an awful lot like Toronto yesterday.

No Canadian players, no academy, no covered stands, no hospitality or corporate areas, cheap season tickets. Only so long a benefactor can run on free tickets and beer festivals. We'll see how many of them they can put on when they're getting pumped by the big boys...

Another Trojan horse thread started by someone with a Wolfpack-bashing agenda who contrives to dress it up with a semi-reasonable subject line.

Yawn.
