Do ‘flatcappears’ stop the cap slipping down?

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

So not one of you can provide a quote where a poster has suggested that French players don't bring anything to the game?
This forum has slid into the murky depths of being a troll house and at the bequest of the moderators it would seem.......another anti/pro expansion debate designed to deliver ad impressions for the ever decreasing pool of advertisers....and here I am responding. I got a rap on the knuckles recently for calling Jean a name and by-passing the swear filter....so in true cockney rhyming slang, the three of you are a bunch of James Blunts......in other words you write a lot but inevitably end up saying little but your popular with the housewives who run this place 8)

I like to see French players playing their trade over here. It offers them an opportunity that the French system never could. Who want 's to play in the South of France anyway when you could be in Barrow in the rainy season.
The problem is that the French Elite set up is a basket case. Rarely do all the teams complete all of their fixtures. Given the support that they get from regional government they should all be well organised but they are not. If you think that we are provincial you ain't seen nuthin'. I just cannot get my head round the fact that my family's local village, equestrian centre, gets better television coverage and more often than French Elite 1.

French Elite 1 needs to be a feeder league to French Super League teams. Both England and France would benefit from this.

Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Yes indeed. Catalans and Toulouse (and later Avignon) in Super League can be fed talent by a rejuvenated French Elite competition. English clubs can also benefit from this.

I think Wanderer was referring more to Hakim's impact and popularity at Doncaster. We love him!

Isn't that the goal of expansion? Using our system to promote theirs.
