My suggestion, fwiw, would be to move to a regionalized pro/semi-pro single tier.

Championship Eastern Conference (Yorkshire and Newcastle), Western Conference (Lancs, Cheshire, Cumbria, North Wales) and Southern Conference (Everything south of that, including France).

Conference winners and the second-placed team with the best record play-off for promotion.

In terms of money from television - well they’ve got two years to remodel, but part of the planning has to be for it being none. I wonder if a few might end as farm teams for SL clubs.

personally any team becoming a feeder club as you describe should be voted out of the Championship/League 1

Yeah Trinity & Cas have done absolutely nothing since the last franchises to get new stadia built, oh wait you're completely wrong on both clubs and just a little research would reveal what both clubs have been doing and being through in that time

When you rely on the same Council (WMDC) and developments being built to fund projects, like has been done for Stadia for years up and down the Country, the question more specifically as far as Trinity is concerned, is why haven't we had the Community Stadium that was passed by the secretary of State in Downing street in 2012, for a huge warehousing development on green belt and an old Pit, under a so-called rock solid section 106 agreement. But yet only one building and 125 jobs have been created in that time but yet remarkably doesn't count to the trigger point, which is 60k sq/ft. ATM they're still at it trying to get another big warehouse passed that doesn't contribute towards the Community stadium getting built.

Seriously where else do clubs get the nearly £20m to build one, because hardly any team, except Leeds & Saints can afford to cough up that and that's before buying the land itself, which is another thing altogether.

Just churn out the photos of people in club ties on a building site again, its worked for the last 20 years. Have you still got the same shovel? It must be due a double testimonial now.

Absolutely in fact league one and Championship clubs should reject all dual reg immediately.

That said there is no way you can get any kind of concensous as shown by the way half of them voted for less money today.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

So...question is, who wan't to buy the championship more than anyone else in 2019?
Hughes can afford to and it will ease his conscience over the way he destroyed us as a SL club in 2014.......so London to go up in 2019 and then SL will be truly farcical wit the top side in the south playing their home games from a wedding venue

Much as I'd like to agree , I'd be more realistic and give everybody a season to prepare , unlike our friends in SDL

As for ' agreement ' between club owners/managers/CEO's , I am well aware , 10 years ago I attempted to get them to look at an idea , that if they had taken it up , would be giving them tens of thousands of income extra by now

Maybe the Championship, L1 and the amateur game (c/o the RFL) should instigate a breakaway themselves (after talking with relevant television companies), and leave SL to themselves? Not really a breakaway, as they'd still have rights to international RL and the CC, but it would remove the shackles (aka DR etc) that SL impose.

Pray tell what each club have actually done themselves other than grasp the passing straw of someone else promising to build one for them? Plenty of clubs outside SL have invested in their grounds, improving them beyond recognition.

You tell me how many SL teams have built a new stadium with their own money, no help from the Council or funds from developers etc?

Yes, certain teams like Hull KR, Dewsbury & Feath have done an excellent job in building or doing up what they used to have and are to be massively congratulated but on the other hand, they own their stadia we don't. If only we had a football team to jump in with hey.

It was only in 2010 that Trinity chucked about a million at Belle Vue for new roofs and a lick of paint but when all said and done, you can't polish a turd.

You also won't find a Trinity fan that won't admit that several former owners haven't done enough with the money they've been given to improve the ground, but when the owner in 2009/10 lost the ownership of the stadium and sent us into admin where does that leave anyone that takes over, unless they've got about £20m to throw into one and no owner has done that, not even those with that kind of money spare.

ATEOTD the said promise to build one wasn't just for Trinity, it was for the whole of Wakefield, such as the College that was going to use it and it's facilities, which also had other aspects to it such as 2 full-size multi-use pitches, where there are hardly any of in Wakefield full stop for people to us.
But screw it, it's easier to have a crack at Wakefield, rather than the Council or developer who used the goodwill of the Wakefield public to drum up 15k signatures to build on green belt land and give something back to the wider Community and then do fack all for 7 years, just lies. We could go even further back to where the Council was building a Leigh like sports village in Thornes Park but obviously, after a couple of years of talk it fell through and Wakefield moved onto said Newmarket development.

As usual got to love the so-called RL family.
