After today's performances by Toronto, Toulouse and London I think we may have missed an opportunity. A super league of 14 which included all 3 teams certainly would have merit. Television and streaming opportunities in Britain, France and Canada could have been explored as never before. With the new structure with only one promotion I think that we may have missed the boat unless we move to a 14 team super league in the next two years. Well played all 3 of these teams today.

You sir, are absolutely correct. We need all three expansion teams in Super League. We don't need Widnes or Salford, nor Wakefield for that matter, who bring nothing to the prestige, nor to attracting new TV contract possibilities, corporate sponsorship, or crowd support of the competition.

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.  |

No we haven't, because if they were added the standard of the comp would drop significantly the Toronto Toulouse game was terrible

A close scoreline doesn't = a good game...the standard of play was awful...has anyone got the stats on completion rates? Would be stunned if either side was at 60%+......
