Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Jarryd Hayne has been charged with sexual assault. He has not been convicted. However the NRL clubs are backing off him.

He would be a natural for Catalans Dragons, but they already have Antoine Gigot at full back and David Mead and Bayden Williame in the centres.

Most of the wealthy English Super League clubs have already invested in a full back. Others like Leeds (Trent Merrin) and Salford (Jackson Hastings) have already expended big money on NRL marquee imports.

So if Hayne does come to Super League I would expect that it would be to London Broncos.

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

If he's found not guilty, he is still defending another civil rape case in the USA that isn't due to reach the courts for at least another 12 months. If David Hughes wastes a brass farthing on this has been without instead building a marketing strategy then it's time for his time in London to come to an end......

Hayne has been toxic to every club he's touched. I wouldn't go near him even if he gets off the charges.

The US civil case is due to reach the courts on January 17th 2019. That is not "at least another 12 months" but rather less than two months from now, and thus prior to the start of the 2019 Super League season.

You should try to keep up with the news. I am sure that David Hughes does.

Hayne played well for Parramatta at the latter part of last season. Either he gets off these charges or he doesn't. If he gets off these charges he could be a great asset to London Broncos.

As reported in the UK and NZ press

A pre-trial hearing was set for January 7, 2020, at a San Jose court, with a trial set to start on January 27,

A proposed court schedule indicates that a trial might not be held until late 2019 or 2020.

Based on what factual data, do you arrive at that statement?
London Broncos recently delayed the unveiling of an NRL signing not long after the Hayne arrest and charges were announced....David Hughes invests more than most owners and if he wanted to could afford to buy a marquee player....Hayne is just the kind of player hughes would waste cash on

"I have this system where I support England first, then the other Home Nations, then the rest of the Commonwealth, then the rest of the World, then France."

If Parramatta are trying to offload Michael Jennings then I think a lot of Super League clubs could do worse than try and tempt him over. He is definitely past his prime but still a very high-class player with a crowd-pleasing style. I think he would fit in well at a number of squads.

He could looking at 12 years inside if found guilty! Never mind looking for a SL club
