re. Warrington Guardian
Is this correct? I thought some of these had been sorted?

I thought so too.

Currie staying
Patton - no contract offered (maybe he could end up staying in a much reduced contract, but I think he'll leave).
Clark staying
Davis - unsure, wants more footy. Cats were reported to be more than interested.
Doro - unclear, but would be surprised if we didn't offer him a contract

I have Eribe Doro contracted to end November 2021, contract penned 2019, so I think the WAG may have got this one wrong.

Also from a pretty reliable source I was given to understand we had extended Currie's contract and signed Rob Butler from London.

You say that but his defence work is probably the reason why his contract has been extended. When he went off against Hudds the defence suffered as it did because Charnley went off.

That's got to have more to do with the shuffling like Gelling to wing and hughes to centre as well as having only 2 interchanges left on the bench before the first half was finished. That's going to test any defensive structure. Clark is a solid and hard working defender I will grant that but he slows our attack right down and doesn't seem to even have the option of an offload in him. Every team needs a player to get through the donkey work but we have that already in Hughes and covered by matt davis. I don't have anything in particular against clark but I just feel the cap space could be better spent on a prop.

Come on.
Let's not sugar coat this.
He's a tackler. A decent one, I grant you. But that's it. A tackler. I've not seen him bust a tackle, beat a man, break the line. Just do the basics. Tackle, and take the odd ball up.

A quota spot used....for Gary Sanderson. Not that there was owt wrong with Sanderson, but, he didn't take up a quota spot, or (if I assume correctly), take a decent chunk of salary cap.

Oh, I get it. He's Inglis' babysitter.

Currie and Clark haven't been confirmed yet it's just rumour, But Clark will stay to facilitate Inglis and would like Currie to stay.
Pattons gone we've been shopping him around for ages.
Davis i thougt had already signed a new 2 year aswell as Eribe.
We'll find out in due course i suppose :-)

On the updated RFL list of players without clubs for 2021, the only Warrington players on the list as reported by League Express were Dec Patton and Cole Oakley.

That doesn't mean of course that the likes of Currie and Davs etc have signed for Warrington - they could have signed elsewhere. But we know their future is sorted at any rate.
