I have not heard anything further. We must be careful we do not go barking up the wrong tree though

It could happen, and it wouldn't surprise me, but don't build your hopes up just yet.

I have worked for two super league clubs in the not too distant past, and the RFL have regular meetings with all super league clubs (quarterly I think), and they tend to take these meetings on the road. Present from each club is the chairman and CEO.

DB was very clear about what division Dawson had signed to play in. So, am not expecting any sort of reshuffle for 2018.

Expect the drawbridge to be raised with London, Toulouse and Toronto on the right side of it.

I would be delighted to see those clubs in SL with the drawbridge up, for 3 years at least, we just need to ensure our proposition is better than the Widnes/Salford/Wakefield/HKR/Huddersfield/Bradford/Cas as it would be at least 14 teams the other side of that drawbridge. We, as fans, start by buying season tickets if we want to be on that side.

I don't expect a reshuffle either, but theres something going on. Not sure what length of contract Dawson has been handed though. Do the 2/3 year contracts being handed out actually count for anything at present or in the future?

I don't see the point in him playing another year now.The squad has to be built for SL,which he wouldn't play in anyway. Coaching role for the pivots is where I'd have him.

Depends who else signs. He mentioned in his press conference about maybe being a reduced playing role. Ideal would be to have Mortimer and Hood signed up to play 9, with Higham as backup.

We do need experienced players signing. Hopefully some, or all of, Mortimer, Ridyard and Hansen sign up.
