Looks like HR Jr was right again!

That should make us popular with our Championship colleagues!

It may have something to do with funding for next season. In today's LE it says there will be a more even funding level in the championship next season so if we know we will get an extra £100k for example by voting with the SL clubs it makes sense for us to do it with the situation we are in.

Perhaps.

That would work, if the extra £500k or so, each, earned by the top four Championship clubs, is shared amongst the 14. (about £140k+ each)

However, I think it more likely that the majority of that money would find its way back into the SL pot!

I've just posted on the new structure thread about the vote. Surely your club can't have voted for it? Talk about turkeys and Christmas!

To reiterate what I posted on the other thread, again you would have to know investment was on its way to vote that way.

Chalmers who’s been very vocal - as the chair of the Champ and League 1 advisory group - hasn’t said anything other than to explain why he argued against Bradford going up automatically.

Suggests to me that some sort of financial compromise will have been reached.

If the funding is evened out completely you'll almost certainly get slightly get less: approx. £219k v £225k

Level funding will not come into it now, if as we are lead to believe that SL have agreed to award tge relegated club a 500K parachute payment.
