Given our and the players current situation , I'm amazed we've done as well as we have over the last 6 games , maybe Kieron is just being too proffessional in expecting these players to be 100% , their and our future is essentially in ' flux ' ATM , ( like that word )
I was pleasantly surprised at how this group performed in their first three home games of the Shield. A hastily arranged group came together exceptionally well - many of them playing in strange positions beside fellow strangers. Since then, we have dropped off and, on Sunday, came up against a committed, skilful team, who beat us fairly convincingly - simple as that.
In reality, in my opinion, we have no 'right' to expect anything from this group of players. All I ask is that they give everything they can - and I think they have been doing that.
We will be travelling to Dewsbury and Featherstone - more in hope than expectation - as it's still 'our' team, whoever is wearing the shirt!
As for Kieron, well he was the guy who turned around that dreadful start, and came within a couple of points of getting us into second place - so surely, he must have something going for him?
I won't undermine your opinion Charlie, but surely the first step is new staff.
Atomic , I respect all your posts as I do most on the Forum, fans input is vital as is every opinion, even if you disagree.Again it's been reported that the Staff don't know where there future lies,I presume you mean Coaching Staff?Hopefully that will be sorted by DB or the New Owners coming in.
My suggestions on playing Staff are just my own views,on what I feel we need, again though, I'm no coach,it's going to be a bit of a hard Winter at the LSV ,and I can't see us getting much joy out of our next 2 games, I really do hope the team prove me wrong.

Alan I think KP is a good Coach, as you pointed out he came extremely close to getting us in the top 4,the damage was done at the start of the season, every skilled man needs decent tools to do his job, KP had them during the season and the results were there however now the Quality of players in the squad is not up to that standard and the results are showing.
We beat Sheff twice, and Barrow quite well, but struggled to beat Rochdale, beat a poor Swinton side on the day,and lost at Fev who had 14 men,not exactly setting the house on fire, which is why I felt Batley would beat us.On Sunday we travel to Dews which is never an easy place to go, and I think we will struggle, the same as the Fev game in 2 weeks.
Success and failure are a fine line a kick , a try, even a Refs decision could have made our season so different, I still have nightmares of the Barrow away and Toulouse at home games, how did we lose them?

Add 'Capacitor' & build it, we could time travel back to Huddesfield at home 2016 !
Would you give 110% if you might not get paid at work ?? . Just a thought.!
Effort isn't really the issue , don't ' put it in ' and you'll get hurt playing RL , quite simply we are disjointed , because we ARE disjointed , nobodies fault , just the way it is
A lot of that Batley team have been there quite a while , add in one of the best part time halfs ever in Brambani , and it was always going to be difficult

Purtill is not the man for the job for me, in this weeks match report he keeps moaning about attitude and how bad it is, is tgat not part of a coaches job to be a good psychologist as well as a tactician? Well he has prompted my attitude to give Dewsbury and Featherstone a miss.
Do you think Purtill selected the likes of Acton and Ryan Bailey on merit? No he didn't but he had to field a team of 'players'
The thing I like about Keiron is that, unlike Jukes, he is no ones yes man, if you don't perform you are out and someone else gets the shirt. No favouritism, No cliques, No nonsense.
I like him and his style of management. Everyone knows where they stand. Ask Bergal. He was dropped during this shield campaign, for the exact same reason Acton was previously dropped in the season. Fair and square policy.
Coaches who take no absolutely no shi!te, can however be placed on a collision course with club owners. There's the worry.

For what reason was Ridy dropped or AJ ? They are standard rules, break them and suffer the consequences. Nothing to do with being a yes man.
If your late for training, then your late for work. We really need to get away from this fictional stuff and start looking at reality.
I'm sick of hearing if we had won those first games we wouldn't have been in this position. Yet we had the strongest squad going into the Summer Bash, and blew that. Just remind me who the coach was?
