Down to the bare bones now! Perhaps we are saving them all for the final?

Thinking back to last week, we were all disappointed with the performance. However, when you think that, out of our 'rag tag & bobtail' squad, we were missing:

Evans, Hood, Mason, Richards, Gregson, Cunningham, Adam Walne & Dagger - then perhaps our performance was understandable?

This week, we've got Dagger back, but have lost Reynolds, and Peet!

Could be interesting with numbers next week! We've named 16 this week too, but at least one of those is crocked and unlikely to actually play again this season, with another 2 carrying hefty knocks. On top of that Davies is suspended for next week (unless he appeals and it's upheld), although Newman may be available again (playing in the U19 GF this week). So, with a following wind we may have 13 players who can actually take the field...

We will be lucky to keep Dewsbury under 50. I can not remember this club ever not fielding a full contingent of players and I have been watching since the 1940s.

Where is Rhys Evans again ?

Blimey Harold - even longer than I have! However, I ought to point out that (certainly since the 50's at any rate! ) we didn't always have to find 17 names to put on the team sheet!

I reckon the thinking is that, if Fev could manage with 14, maybe we could get away with less than 17? Less of them to mess up, for a start!

Well I already have my ticket for Sunday, but Alan I have to say despite being optimistic for the future, it is more than a tad disappointing we are unable to field a full contingent of required players for this fixture,

I can not help feeling it is a sad day in our proud history, regardless of how meaningful the game may or not be.

He has a knee injury and will not play again this season, can safely say we have not got value for money out of him this season, which is ironic as I believe he is one stumbling block in negotiations to resolve our current situation

Obviously this situation is of our own making, Harold, in having to jettison seven of our highest 'earners'. (and I use the word loosely!) However, we have also lost the services of Evans, Reynolds, Hood, Mason, Richards, Cunningham, Adam Walne, Peet and Cox, since the signing deadline. That's just the way it is, with the deadline, and we are not alone - Fev name only sixteen for their fixture, as well. In fact, there are stories that they do not even have so many fit, with John Davies suspended for next week. Mind you, they only needed 14 last time we played them!

P.S. I'll be at Dewsbury too!

We only have 13 men for tomorrow game I know I said I was taking a break but thought I would let you all know incase you decide to have a little wager
