Has joined us at Leigh, on loan for 2018 season. What do you folks think about him?

big lump, lacks aggression

made alot of appearances in 2016 when we had injuries in the pack, did well

not progressed for one reason or another, fallen down the pecking order here now , not sad hes going on loan, might never return!

Good move for Nathan. He needs to really show what he's made of next season on a regular basis. If he can stay injury free and get lots of game time it could be a really good move.

However if he under performs he may never return to us.

Id like to see Matty English go out on loan to League 1 or championship for regular game time as well.

I'd like to see another prop brought in now though we must have some room on the cap.

What a massively disingenuous comment. "Big lump lacks aggression" that's made me really cross. Try pulling on a pair of boots brearley and see how aggressive you are.

If you want a more balanced comment-
Nathan hasn't performed any worse than any of our other props excepting Seb as far as I'm concerned- the fact he's relatively young and inexperienced has meant that sometimes his game choices haven't been the best, and he can run too upright at times.. he didn't get a good run of games last year. He will put his body on the line and work hard.

Thanks for the comments so far guys. We had James Green last season, another big unit, who copped loads of criticism from our supporters, for an apparent lack of aggression. However, he only played nine games for us, (including a victory over you lot!) and was only given about 20-25 minutes per game. It must be very difficult to build up any sort of form or momentum, with such irregular appearances.

Hopefully we can give Nathan the game time and our coaches can add something to his game - but not too much, in case you want him back!

Nathan is still a very young front rower and had plenty of size and potential. Leigh to me seems like the perfect environment for him to test himself regularly in an already decent pack. Good luck to him hope he comes back an improved player

Good idea for both club and mason himself.get plenty of game time each week, plus playing in a winning team most weeks will boost his confidence.and come back a better player in 2019.

Sometimes a change of club and coach can change a player altogether, and as you rightly say playing in a winning side on a regular basis ( something he has never done at Fartown ) can do wonders for a player. Good luck to him I hope he goes well for Leigh.

Nathan had plenty of aggression and didn't take a backward step when he first started.
I think the game time he's received has probably effected him more than some realise.
