No new injuries that we know of.

Jerry, Wakeman, Bruno and Walne could be back in contention.

What team would you like to see line up?

1. Mamo
2. Jerry
3. Gaskell
4. Turner
5. Murphy/McIntosh
6. Rankin
7. Brough
8. Taai
9. O Brien
10. Walne/Wakeman
11. Ferguson
12. Bruno
13. Hinchliffe

14. Seb
15. Leeming
16. Roberts
17. Clough

I wouldn't just throw Wakeman and Walne back in together but 1 of either should play for me against a big Saints pack.

Will be good to think that all above are available and some real decisions to be made over team selection and who is named on the bench. Not sure that Wakeman will be chosen to start and more likely on bench with Clough starting against his old club I think. I would have Murph ahead of Darnall for this one to sure up defence. Wouldd also start with Kruise. Team looking more like our first choice line up with Leroy and Tommy to come that will really make a selection headache for Rick.
We will be the underdogs for this one but that will hopefully inspire the guys and fans for what should be a great game.
Defence was very good against Wire and hoping we are practising some offensive plays in the 2 weeks we have to prepare for Saints. Saints are great when they get momentum from a quick PTB and we need to match that by doing the same to take some energy out of them.
Really looking forward you this one - COYG :ROCKS:

Saints have a lot of speed out wide, will be difficult for us to counteract with our personelle- we need to make sure saints do not get space out wide and make our strength and power out wide negate their speed.
On the flip side we have a small pack compared to theirs so need to turn their forwards as much as possible.
This will be a test of where we are - saints one of the teams to beat this season.

not sure id have lawrence even back in the team

ferguson all day long for me, also murphy over mcintosh who seems to be struggling with his positioning in defence when kicks come his way

wakeman may return but off the bench

dont think anyone deserves to be dropped from the warrington game really but mcgillvary is a shoe in to come straight in and poss walne

be interesting how stone gets the ones coming back from injuries back upto speed, leeming for now seems to have lost his starting spot as has ikahihifo due to no pre season games

said at the start of the season saints are the ones in pole position to win the lls this time... think they will lose morgan too a ban for this game.

hope we can make the john smith a fortress again like it used to be, good start!

I don’t think Darnell’s positioning is any worse than Jerry’s. And Murphys defensive positioning was shocking against wakey. But I think stone will go with smurph. I will be annoyed if Knowles plays- his challenge was similar to that of ferres on lomax and saints were baying for blood over that one.
It’s diffucult to know what to do with Lawrence/ferguson. Both offer something different. Do we need a top class defender or an offensive second row? Next to Gaskell I’d say defence, next to turner I’d say maybe not....

mcintosh was out of position at hull a few times, talanoa with a hat trick! didnt perform in the pre season games either really, was lucky to get away with being out of position again against wire... lineham knocked on!

when we have hinchcliffe in doing the tackling do we really need another tackling machine in lawrence?? id opt for ferguson but will see what gameplan they employ

One of the big things in this match i think will be Broughs kicking form, If we can keep making Saints have to come from their own 22 and we tackle like we did against wolves we have a chance.
Not bothered who's on the field as long as those who are give it their best, Unfortunately i can't make the game.

Only listened to the hull game-so can’t comment on that- but when lineham knocked on hadn’t Darnell just been involved in defending on the other side and no one had covered. Mamo is supposed to be the man organising the defence.

that one was the first try wire scored not the knock on later.
