hull with a strong team on paper

could come down to confidence which we have and they dont

get at the early and knock any confidence out of them... if they start well could get a win

Re: Up next at the John Smiths - Hull FC... : Sat Aug 18, 2018 11:38 am
poor first half... the weather didnt help with the way we wanted to play

hull fc offered very little in attack

second half seemed like woolford got into them at half time, the rain stopped and we went up another gear and game was over in matter of 15mins!

some great tries, the obrien one where he passed to gaskell was awesome.

taai great and a word for mcintosh... he really is improving at a rate of knots , brings the ball back well now , only 21 great stuff!!

poor crowd of 4500... will say again where are the fans that took up the free offer v catalan??? was it worth it... yes we got their details but they just arent interested it seems

I'm on my jollies which must be why the crowd is down...

Interested how the whole team played, noticed English has his wrist in a cast, anyone know the extent? How is Roche going?

Played ok first half but in second gear lacking intensity...second half upped the tempo and looked much better. Roche ran in strong but knocked back a fair bit in contact and knocked on a couple of times. Matagi seemed to play a lot of mins looks good ...nice step to beat first man. Really impressed with O'Brien last few weeks and great burst to set up Gaskell

How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

Who was it who claimed the board tends to quieten down when we're doing well? 11 league wins from the last 12, including beating the top three... thank you and well done to all involved at the club in turning things around.

Last night we showed plenty of effort and proved ourselves to be the better side in the end. Matagi impressed and looks a real quality acquisition - 41 tackles & 134 metres - and our 'Championship rejects' once again repaid the faith that whoever-it-was-who-was-responsible-for-signing-them showed in them.

The level of commitment is commendable and was typified in the last few minutes when, with the game won, we remained as determined as ever to stop Hull from scoring.

The 'Wake the Giant' festival is taking place in Warrenpoint this weekend - someone should tell them that Woolford, Andrews and co. have already started.

matagi done just fine in his two games so far and like woolford says taai has upped another gear since he arrived, they have played together before and thriving from him joining.

roche is roche, got his chance and done ok but nothing special... soon as murphy and lawrence are back wont see him again
