Signed for Wigan a suprise to me that, would he have been a decent signing for us considering where a bit short on quality half backs following broughy leaving?

Not really. He’s a great player to watch but I reckon we were focused on signing Corey Norman

always been a fan of sammut, would have liked to have seen him at the giants in his career. but with brough around that was never going to happen, both generals.

as for signing him now, we arent even in the market for a half back, we signed frawley .....

and holmes....

and another youngster in russell also waiting in the wings.

gaskell and frawley are next seasons half back pairing.

Ollie Russell signing for Leigh soon, not sure if it's permanent, or a loan.

I heard the same rumour about Ollie, Leigh are now 'obsessed' with signing local players, and he still lives in Wigan !

Young and lacking in experience - Yes!
Bit pushed down the pecking order to two players who've yet to show what they CAN do and another who's yet to fulfil his potential is just a tad presumptuous and no reflection on the game he had at Headingley Good lord don't we like pulling the ladder away when youngsters start climbing. Doesn't seem to work like that with with some clubs !
Yeah send him off to another club and let's have a replay of the Connor comedy!
It's a good forum discussion topic !

Good youngsters are dying to improve and have ambition Jools They want to aspire to a higher standard and play alongside seasoned good professional players if they've got promise! (IMO)
They don't want to stagnate by playing alongside lads who are at the same level or lower and be 3rd or 4th in line playing the " waiting game" That can be soul destroying and knock out the fire in their belly.
As I say IMO but have seen it happen over the few seasons been watching Ok being 2nd in line but soul destroying further down the pecking order for lads determined to succeed!
