He will show you his 20 point marketing plan from our Stoop days. He took it with him when he had a tantrum and stormed off to NZ, although i'm sure he will share with us.

Do the roundabouts require horticulture?

I would think the ground will cope ok once the extra stand is added, but as someone who has attended a few ganmes (as an away fan) is there an issue with parking? I know there's a couple of hardstanding areas as well as the grassy area behind one of the goalposts but I remember arriving just after the kick off for a game that had a crowd of about 800 and only just squeezing into the grassy area (which also gets treacherous for parking when it's very wet). I don't think the RU lot get many big crowds do they, just wondering with Vallis Way itself the only access route if the area will cope in terms of parking if crowds get pushed up significantly, which presumably they will?

There is land by the railway line which has been used for parking previously. It can take a lot of cars so there should be no worry, however it is grass.

So apologies,
Could someone just summarise the following -

1. the capacity of the new stand?
AND
2. Where the hell it would be placed?

I am getting a feeling that no one knows and are taking a shot in the dark.

Capacity 1046, which takes seatingcapacity above the RFL’s minimum requirement for an Sl ground. Will be at the Entrance end (behind posts), which is just about the only place it can go?

I presume they can move them to the side or to the other pitch!

Isn't there a roundabout at the end of Vallis Way?

I was wondering about that. Maybe putting them on the edge of the second pitch, so they sit behind the people (like me) who stand along that touchline?

Gotta love that "urban myth" http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=430103....not a single mention of a roundabout....
Quote:11. Twickenham Station: This is a real bone of contention for me. Very few people in the area know we exist and yet, the best way to let them know sits unused. It is estimated that 75,000 people a day use Twickenham Station, so why not sponsor it, get a local florist/landscaper to fill the place with colourful plants and occasionally have players/cheerleaders handing out flyers to commuters in the evening.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:
