Jamie Soward has tweeted saying the Broncos will do well this season under the new management. I wonder whether he wants to come back?

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

can't see the point of being propped up for another year with a target of top 4 at best......

Merely commenting on this. Just asked the question which quite interestingly was not answered.

I've never swerved a question on these boards and won't now. I'd ask Hughes what HE WANTS........If he has a masterplan that we're unaware of then it's about time he either asked for help or changed the entire plan because guess what.......it's not working. If he is happy to write the cheque for 2 million a year, then why not employ someone who knows what they are doing and let them get on with it......but piddling about with average coaches and average players costing him SL type money is pointless and someone needs to tell him.......well, in fact, 4,000 odd people have told him with their feet and there's nobody left with the gumption to tell him he's wrong.......
...as for packing up and doing something else on a Sunday. That's going to happen sooner rather than later anyway, so why prolong the agony....and it would seem that the majority of London Broncos fans over the last 20+ years would agree with me....which why TrailFINDERS is so great for those few left behind with no queues for the loos (both of them) or at the bar........and plenty of space to walk about (so long as it's not muddy)...so yes, if 2018 delivers what the previous years have done in mediocrity with no chance of anything else then yes, I'd recommend you head to the Skolars.......or the Hoists, or any other club that isn't run like a blokes personal toy that he thinks (as you do) that we should be grateful for......last time I looked we paid our entrance fees, bought our shirts and are therefore entitled to an opinion!

Hmmm interesting, you still never gave a straight answer.
So are you suggesting the club should fold? (Simple yes or no)

As for your suggestion, no I wouldn't go and watch the financial and sporting success that is skolars.
And you are aware that hoists are an amateur team, besides too busy in the middle when it comes to HHH, by the way they play on sat.

Strange thing is that I heard that Jamie Soward was coming back to the Broncos to coach. I could not and still cannot see it. However.
This was just before Wardy was appointed to replace Hendo. I thought that this was not likely as it appeared he did not leave on the best of terms and his coaching experience is limited.
My thinking was it was Hendos job he was in for. Now if it is Jamie Langleys U19s job that may be different.
I know Soward was doing TV work in Aus. When I have seen him he looked quite good.
It was said that he was going to join the coaching team at Penrith, maybe he is looking to spend some time over here coaching before an vacancy comes at the Panthers.
The visa thing may be a problem though. If it is true.

Not sure what Jamie would be like as a coach, as a player we know he was talented, but he could lose his cool at times when things didn't go his way. How that carries over to managing a bunch of blokes and getting the best out of em am not sure.

I am not suggesting that the club fold......I am saying that if it continues along it's current path, it WILL FOLD! Hope that's the straightforward answer that you were looking for!

2 things here.

Firstly. I don't now of anyone who would support a club based on it's fiscal performance......but I do know that the Skolars pretty much stand on their own 2 feet.

Secondly.....dating back to 1995, both clubs have had their "trials", but only one was given about $30,000,000 in central funding and a leg up to the top table, combined with quite probably another 30,000,000 in private funding, all of which it pe'd up the wall and is now heading for mid table mediocrity in 2018....the Skolars know their level and have been happily spreading the RL gospel in their own patch with little help from their supposed bigger neighbours.....our disregard and arrogance saw us taken off the Menu at the annual city Challenge which IL was more than happy to step into......but no, you carry on kneeling at the feet of your saviour!

Kneeling at the feet of your saviour!!!! Interesting comment
Nah it's supporting my chosen club through bad times as well as good! Actually it's what most folk on this forum actually do that's why they argue so passionately.
Not sure why anyone would wish the club gone because they disapprove of the owner which seems to be the approach of one or two, odd approach

Where have I said I wanted the club gone? Pointing out that it is going to fold at some stage if the owner continues down the current path isn't wanting it gone. Why did you try to twist what I am saying...are you looking for some imaginary validation or support for your myopic attitude to Hughes? I am 100% right about where we are and how we got there.....all you offer in rebuttal is opinion. I was the one screaming the loudest as the bus driver drove us over the edge and all I got was a slap down from the disciples of St David.....

And I too am a fan of the club through good times and bad.....but at present I see no chance of their ever being good times again and therefore reserve the right to repeatedly point out what they are doing wrong repeatedly!!!
