Impressive half time team talk "The bonus are for making the play-offs not missing them". And the response was instanteneous. Feel sorry for Keighley. A try from avoiding relegation.

I have absolutely no idea where that second half came from, but fair play, was some shift. I might just chip in to keep Dean Whare here next year, what a player

Thought it was a poor performance overall, yes did enough to win it in the end but shocking. Far to many needless penalties. Thought will lovell in particular was poor, not what we want to see from the captain. Last tackle kick options again rubbish.
On a positive bill Leyland is developing into a decent player. Whare showed a bit of class.
Big improvement needed if we want more than one more game

First half they out enthused us and had a good kick and chase game. They are a really big side and maybe the didn’t have the legs for the second half. My memory must be failing me but Ioine looks about twice the size he used to be- he was a real handful and they had a couple of other decent players as well. IMHO they were better than some of the others down near the bottom but a salutary lesson in what happens when you pull the plug half way through the season. We were rubbish in the first half. No energy, loads of handling errors and we looked very lightweight compared to them. Agree with others that it must have been a stern half time team talk. Agreed that Bill Leyland did well and Whare and Norman have been real assets. Special mention for Macani. I’m not sure he has got the top speed that is required but he keeps going even when he gets a knock and did well in the second half. Keighley were well supported and quite a few in corporate - using last week’s ‘official’ attendance figures as a guide -I’d say about 900.

BT yup agreed, talking to a few Keighley fans they couldn't understand why lovegrove was sacked, results after he went tells the tale! When did our season turnround hmmmm Mr lovegrove seems to be the common denominator

Last week's official announcement was cobblers.....but to be clear, it won't be anywhere near the 5,000 target set by Hughes so I'm of the opinion that someone or something has to change at the club or we will cease to exist inside the next 5 years.

Did a rough headcount, reckon around same as last week, a good number of couger fans, so around 700 actually in the ground, over 100 in the lounge seats

Some penalties for dissent were frustrating to see early doors, particualry the one that led to them scoring. Opposing teams are investing a lot in slowing the ruck down and we need to be a bit smarter/have a different option when that happens. Quite telling how tough we find it up front without Lewis as an option or Paul and Alex making those runs from out back.

Can't knock the ref for consistency, both teams pinged for back chat. Both teams penalised for offside at the scrum. Both teams caught offside on try line.
We should have been better than that, dumb play.

Yes we gave that try away basically. Cant afford to do that against top teams.
We could do with adding some wingers to our squad. Boafo?
What did you make of O Leyland as player of the season Knocker? It wasn’t immediately obvious to me who would win it as Norman hasn’t played enough games but confess I was a bit surprised although I think Oli’s been decent. Horseman on the other hand seems to have slipped slightly out of the picture. Injuries seemed to have harmed his development. Wonder if he’ll be retained.
