Andrew : Mon Aug 07, 2017 7:58 am
How long before a Super League Club comes knocking at Andrew Henderson door. His stock continues to rise with the team putting in such outstanding performances, such as on Saturday.
David Hughes may have a job on his hands to keep him. Honda obviously has ambition and I am sure he is ambitious for The Broncos to get promoted. Would he be able to turn down a juicy Head Coach job in SL. I think not.
However the club does have someone on the books who could be the answer. Jamie Langley is doing such a good job with the U19s, he must be a ready made replacement.
Come what may, the club is in a really good place. Playing wise at least.

If we manage to get promoted to SL this season (or next) it won't matter. Isn't he contracted for the next 2 years?

Hendo's other half stated a few weeks back on social media that he and the family have never been happier and the plan is to stay for as long as the club want him.

He hasn't achieved anything yet and is very junior in terms of coaching. He got one of 3 full time teams in the second tier of RL to second place(took a hammering at the top club). We were knocked out of the CC at the first hurdle at home. We performed poorly earlier in the season losing games that maybe we shouldn't, and after the Toulouse game we dipped.

We did well against a poor Catalans team away on Sat but didn't win critically. Let's not get overly excited.

Don't for one moment compare him to D.Powell. He has done the hard yards with a number of clubs in 2 leagues for years.

Rather than offering cheesy comments that add nothing but a cheap dig, provide counter evidence or offer your thoughts.

Is there something in the post thats incorrect??

However you look at it, if we continue to progress as we are. And we do not win promotion. Some Super League club will come and make an offer to Hendo. Whether he feels it is right for him would remain to be seen.
Rugby coaches with his potential are a rather scarce commodity. He is without doubt starting to get noticed. I would not want him to leave, but I am sure if he felt it was right for him, David Hughes would let him go.
Where could he go. Catalan might be a possibility. They must have been impressed with the performance on Saturday. McNamara is not delivering the goods. Hendos brother played there, so he has some connection. He might think time in France might be good for his kids. There will be others.
Who knows? He might even get a call from Australia. Only time will tell!
