Maybe not a surprise give DH history of going for the easy choice in the past.

A completely underwhelming appointment and a for me a major statement from the club that until we get investment from a third party its 2nd tier rugby for the foreseeable future.

Given this news, I just hope we could at least bring in a backs coach given Wardy was a 1980's take it up type prop with no experience of coaching with or under any top rated modern coaches and his under 19's chum also a forward with 1 years kids coaching experience.

Jamie has actually coached the U19s for two seasons. Did a pretty good job last season, was finding his feet in 2016.

Lets hope 2018 isn't a feet finding season.

It's no surprise really and what we all expected. He was side by side with hendo so you could say it's continuity. For me I prefer this to the likes of sharpe and kear, there time has been and gone.
As for the fact he was a big ugly fwd, is that not what everyone says we are lacking? Maybe under his influence we could bring that type of player in.
As for 2nd tier rugby, bring in Wayne bennet, Mal meninga, or who ever without lots to spend on the players squad we are staying there.

The general consensus seems to be that it is a good move. Let's see.

My season prediction now looks like this;
Leigh/Toronto 1/2
TO 3
Fax/Fev/Broncos 4/5/6 in any order

That's exactly what it is, but we have a good club-man in the hot seat so that's good news all round. Just like the local cricket club in the village.

Oh come on!! Danny Ward played for GB and in countless SL games. His experience in the game is vastly superior to Rob.
