Having just watched Rugby League Backchat with Ralph Rimmer. I was less than impressed with the man. He has an important job and really, from the way he came over. I have no confidence that the man is up to it.
Old Ralph had no sympathy for Salford fans with the change of our next game. He had an ideal opportunity to apologize to fans or at least show some contrition. He did no such thing. The bloke is as hopeless and arrogant.
Thoughts from the RFL as I see it - not suggesting its fact it is merely my thoughts
Let's move as many games as possible and not apologise after all it's not us losing our own money.
Let's expand into France and North America, choose holiday destinations and that will be good for us if not RL fans and players. We don't have to go out and put our bodies into it after being cramped in planes, trains and automobiles we can relax in a hotel after comfortable travel and enjoy the hospitality of the country we are visiting and coax them into joining up. We can see the benefit of expansion it's just not the same way the fans who put their money in week after week see it.
Let's put the magic weekend as far north as possible so all fans travel quite a distance at expense to themselves
Let's put magic weekend in Blackpool during a holiday time so it costs a fortune and the fans will have trouble booking rooms.
Lets avoid London for the ENgland games even though they had a great turn out last time we did this. We want to expand just not in London so we will use the usual northern venues and forget about the south.
Lets force clubs to have a limited capacity ground. It doesn't matter if it is 100% safe and meets all requirements of health and safety and totally meets the clubs needs. We need to make them move and then the bankruptcy that follows helps to reduce the number of clubs needing help. Ie Bradford
Lets bore the fans to submission with same half dozen clubs on SKY and NO championship games where we have excitement and passion. After all this could bring in new fans and we don't want that do we.
Oh dear just thought we could soon be out of a job as the fans are already beginning to walk away from games and cancelling SKY.
You do realise that rl in France is not restricted to Catalan Dragons! Catalans are actually an extension success How many games have been moved this s year? We know it’s Going to happen, with the new system it’s still going to be a problem. I agree with you on what’s shown on sky, more to the point that’s why the super 8s has gone! As for grounds, I can’t disagree, if a club gets 3k average why do they need a 10k ground capacity? All they need is a ground that fits there financial plan. But quick question for you, are London broncos at a SL standard ground? Magic weekend! Personally I don’t disagree with! Big bash personally I don’t disaagree with!
As for London with England games, can’t agree, why not force the core support to travel 200 miles! Play the internationals where the fans can get to the games easily.

We are not stupid we do realise how many clubs there are in France.

To many

The crowd at the London Stadium was 44,000 last time England played there, why make the southern supporters travel 200 miles to watch an international. Why not promote rugby league in the south at the Internationals?
And the other 10 teams that play in the French league. Not to mention all the amateur teams that play. At least in France there is a community game, so yup expansion is worth it over there. As for the international venues, been done to death already in here.
There will be egg on Mr Rimmers face if Featherstone and Leigh turn up for the Tea Cup Final with thirteen players each. Mind you he will have his snout in the trough in Toronto at the time, so he will not care. It is a total disgrace that these clubs have been allowed to get away with this and should be censured for it. Further Leigh players have not been paid. It is so wrong. Anyway a nine a side Tea Cup Final would be quite entertaining.
