It only takes 5-10 minutes on the bus up from Ealing Broadway. EB connects with two tube lines and the train.
Should also be connecting with Crossrail but that's not happening any time soon :DEPRESSED:

Good point about Crossrail especially as I'm 10 minutes away from the station in Woolwich. I just hate relying on buses...

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

I pretty much used buses 100% of the time I was home last month...they run o-time (in Ealing/Hanwell anyway) and there's an app for seeing when the next one is due at your stop.

The legal capacity at the ground is just over 3k IIRC and any new "stand" sic will have to be a temporary one as no planning permissions have been received or even sought, so they might get the capacity up to 4k.......which will be fine for all but Leeds, Saints and Wigan. The Stoop is too far away, but Griffin Park will be in its death throws next year, so maybe there for those 3 games?

Not sure why leeds Saints and wigan are highlighted. Last visit of Leeds was actually quite a pivotal match in the 8s so if any game was going to draw a crowd it was that one, why think a normal league game next year would draw anymore am not sure.
I thought the min capacity for SL is stated at 5k with a min number seated.
Call, you must have the answer to that.

Leeds in decent form, in a SL match, on the right date, could bring 2k supporters.

Not particularly anymore than any other club though! Y point is we have had leeds this season in a match that was probably more important for them to win than any SL game this season and don’t think they brought that many.
Broncos need to hitting decent numbers if they go up, realistically I reckon t best 3k
Can/ will Trailfinders capable of that?

Our biggest SL crowds tended to be Wigan and St Helen's.

We haven't averaged 3,000 since 2011 at The Stoop. In 2012, we had 4 crowds over 3,000. In 2013, it was 2 and in 2014 (our last SL season) there were none.

I don't think we need worry too much about capacity in the short term.

Away crowds drop off significantly for fixtures in this section of the 8's. While the ground can on theory hold 3k, the facilities are not appropriate.

Not disagreeing with you listy, it’s fine for championship and even then it creaks a bit with bigger crowds.
And as I said, if they go up broncs need to be averaging 3k 2011 proved that number can be hit.

You're not sure about anything other than "the referee is infallible" 8)

I on the other hand have a PHD in this subject...

Only 3 current SL sides brought an average of over 4k fans to our home games over our tenure in SL, with Wigan on 5,008, Saints on 4,581 and Leeds on 4,553......te season pre MacKay, we got over 5K for Saints and Wigan and 4,200 for Leeds.

As for your comment regarding the recent visit of Leeds.......we got double the normal gate and some.......for a game in a series that struggles with attendances....if Leeds Rhinos fans knew the date of our SL game in 2019  then I have no doubt they'd sell their 1,200 allocation in a heartbeat....

I have no issue is we are capped at 4,000 and are in a position where we can only offer away tickets to be sold through the visiting club with an allocation of maybe 1,200 for the big 3 and 500 for the rest, but ONLY if we can sell the rest to London fans.
