I’m not disagreeing he’s a very poor club coach but I wouldn’t go with that for England tbh. I think he did a lot of good work and helped the side become more professional and organised in its approach. We won some series against the Kiwis and we were a smidge away from getting to a World Cup Final before getting pipped by a much better Kiwi side then anything Wayne Bennett’s England beat in the World Cup Just gone.

He seems to be a good man to have in a set up working on organising things behind the scenes but maybe not as the front man. His head coach record at club level is pretty disastrous.

Can't see McNamara lasting if they continue to lose and lose badly.
They have HullFC home this week then away to Saints,Salford at Magic then home to Leeds.
Might be wrong but their only hope for a win out of those is Salford at Magic. Difficult to see him surviving that lot.
A new quality coach could prove the difference. Potter and Robinson did very well there and no reason another quality coach would not do the same.

In a lot of ways you have to feel for Macnamara Catalan have been a disaster in waiting for the past few years,any coach would have their work cut out trying to shift through the mess and inflated egos of that club

They were 9th in Super League when they got rid of Frayssinous. I bet they would kill for that now!

I felt sorry for Frayssinous when he was sacked, I don’t think he was doing an awful lot wrong.

Plays wing as well doesn’t he?

In regards to him coming here, we’d need a new halfback if that was to happen. He looks more of a strike weapon at fullback so we’d need to compensate for the loss of creativity we’d suffer from Sams exit.
