Liam Watts rumoured to have left Hull, Cas apparently keen. Surely we should be in for him?I know he has disciplinary issues with 4 red cards in a year but at least a couple of those were harsh.

Edit- Sounds like its a done deal with Cas,Hull also accepted an offer from Toronto!

We should have offered him all FPN contract.

Think Hull are mad if it’s just his on field problems, they can be easily fixed with good coaching.

Gutted we’re not in for him.

Should be announced imminently but I would be disappointed if we weren’t in for him. He’s a top prop forward who could go very far in this game and he would of absolutely bolstered our pack.

Can only echo what’s been said. If Watts is available and we didn’t at least show an interest then I really wonder what’s going through the managements heads.

A top player in a position we desperately need quality in. Yes he’s got onfield disciplinary issues but there’s not really been anything major (more silly then anything).

I wanted us to sign him 6 years ago when he fell out with HKR.
A terrific forward who I'd have in the Wigan front row anytime.
Cas have decided to take a risk with him, we should have and put a bid in.
The question for any signing - "Will the incoming playing improve the squad over the leaving player?

Frustrating,especially when Cas seem to have less of a need for a new prop then we do. Obviously we don’t know the cap situation and the possible transfer fee but I really hope if it was possible we made him an offer.

How do we know we weren't in for him? Apparently Watts abandoned all other offers when he knew Cas were interested - it was likely his preference.

It’s not up to Watts though it’s up to Hull.

If Wigan weren't in for Watts then I find that staggering, can only hope that he moved to cas before Wigan made their move because for all his issues he is a top class prop.something Wigan are crying out for.

As others have said you should if possible aim to improve the squad, for me Watts would fit that bill,Cas have signed a top drawer player in my view.

Just taking a minute to read this thread and what has been posted in the last few comments.

Calls to sign Liam Watts, reports of off field stupidity rife, form dropped off acts like a prick on the field.....let’s sign him.....let’s put him in the mix with Hardaker etc.

Culture is everything in a club.

Well done Lee Radford for enforcing a culture. He may not be from Wigan and he may not be fashionable but without doubt I’d love to see him as our coach in the future.

Demands respect, promotes a good culture.
