Hi

I stopped the club taking payment for my season ticket this Friday (waaaaay too early and just in time to coincide with my holiday cc bill). I've since heard that you can defer when the payment is going to be taken out. I can't find the details anywhere. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Was told season tickets are going live!!!next week so then I can auto renew as long as I give them my bank details. So I said I will pop down on Monday to do it. No the lady said she didn't know what day they was going live !!!!!. One confused lady .

"If you can’t afford to pay in August don’t worry, you can speak to one of our Ticket Office advisers on our new local number 01942 311111 to discuss alternate payment dates and options. You can defer your auto-renewal payment until September 14th or opt out of auto renewal and keep your seats until the 31st October renewal deadline."

Called in to the ticket office to clear this up. I was told that it was too late to defer and that the deadline to do this had been 4pm on 10 August and that this has been made clear in all the flyers/emails etc. I can't recall seeing that. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the money was taken from my account tomorrow morning.

While I was there I got my South Stand season ticket for this year reactivated for the 3rd time. The last time was before the Cas game when it wouldn't work at the turnstile. It still didn't work after I had queued up to get it done. The lady on the turnstile let me through but we had missed the first try by then. It had worked for 2 games following the last reactivation.

I generally get to about 10 games per season due to work etc and I'm questioning whether its worth the hassle tbh

I deferred payment until 14th September and had it confirmed I writing.

Today Wigan warriors helped themselves took £230 out of my account 4 weeks earlier than they confirmed in writing.

Not Happy.

The auto renewal scheme is a complete shambles! I received two advanced emails specifying the price, both of which were wrong. I emailed both Wigan warriors and the ticket office and didn't receive a reply from either. I then phoned the ticket office who said it was nothing to do with them even though the emails were addressed from them! So DD day arrived yesterday and they took the wrong amount out of my bank. So I phoned the TO again who said they would refund the difference however they have refunded the wrong amount so I will have to phone again!

Also they have not included auto renewal of my car park ticket even though it was clearly in the confirmation email. The TO said i would have to phone next week and buy one separately when tickets go on sale. So much for the convenience of auto renewal.

I have lost all confidence that WW and the TO know what they are doing. I am seriously considering considering cancelling my season ticket after being a life long supporter (60 years) and season ticket holder for many years. If I cancelled my season ticket I probably wouldn't attend many games as buying tickets has just become too much hassle.

When the auto renewal scheme came out last year i thought maybe spread the payment over 4 payments, contacted the box office no one could tell me what the scheme was about or how many options there were. I ended up just paying in one go. I have done that again even though some of my mates had said they were using the option to defer until Sept to pay.

when I read and hear of the issues that people are having trying to pay for a season ticket I have a lot of sympathy and if I was having issues again I would probably just tell the club to to cancel the ticket. The club need to realise that people are paying hard earned money up front for a product.

Does anybody know when you can just buy a season ticket and car park pass outside the Auto Renewal scheme?

It is farcical that we are expected to pay for a ST in FULL six months before the season begins and without knowing the format / number of fixtures. Very poorly managed and communicated from the club and considering IL & KR read these comments, I sincerely hope they review the whole process.
