Posted: Fri Dec 14, 2018 10:20 amThe worrying thing I aw on the BBC report was that he would take over until "at least the end of the 2018-19 season". I don't like that "at least". While I don't think that he (or anyone getting the Wigan job) is nailed-on for success I do really want to see what he can bring, so I hope this doesn't throw a spanner in the works of our deal. Getting a bit ahead of myself but, after all, money talks.

2. If he did break a contract, then I dare say there will be a hefty compensation fee due from either him or whoever poaches him.

I understand why you didn't want to say anything. What I don't understand is why you then revised that policy. Something to do with 10 pints of lager?

No ive not had a drink for months thanks.
Since the earlier posts raised concern over Edwards coming, i thought it the right time to raise my own concerns. Now that the novelty factor of Edwards return has worn off, let us be honest. Who would really bring in a guy with no real RL coaching experience who has been out of the game for nearly 2 decades? As good as he was back in the day, he is bound to be out of touch with the game after all these years. I would be much happier if he had spent at least a season as assistant to Wane or even Lam who at is least up to speed on the modern game. I find it hard to believe that Mr Lenegan would take such a huge risk which makes me wonder if it was just a PR stunt.
