The best thing about the game was probably that Tautai was our best player. His good handling looked to be one of the very few ways to get through the defence and he ran strong too. Sammut had a good game. I was impressed with both Ganson and Roden who did what they could despite the weather.
It was always going to be a forward battle and our young forwards did pretty well. Kibula sensibly left the playmaking stuff to the halves and just ran strong. Partington was very solid in defence but putting in a shoulder charge while on a team warning might be the dumbest play I've seen in a while. A mention should also go to Joe Shorrocks, who didn't get too long but was hugely impressive when he was on the field.
