I don't see Klopp at City because he plays the wrong game for what City want. City want to control the ball and entertain, not press and counter. The team is built around that. If Klopp was approached (I don't think he would be) then the squad would need an overhaul to play his game. Tbh I think we will stick with the Pel for another year before they have another plunge at trying to tempt Pep from his tour of the gloryhunting European big boy clubs.

Reports from the Qutar say there has been some agreement between Manchester City & Munich for Pep to manage City next season.

So would that mean Klopp to Bayern?

Whilst I would love that, it's a case of seeing it before believing it isn't it. Hopefully Bayern get whooped by Barcelona again on Tuesday but seeing as they trounced Porto I'm not holding my breath. Can't see Bayern getting rid of him after the way they've coasted under him domestically.

Football management is crazy, isn't it?

Jurgen Klopp has absolutely flopped this season, been a total disaster - He's basically been the German version of Roberto Martinez, in that he's turned a supposedly decent side in to a bottom half, mediocre team.

So with that in mind, Klopp should be hanging onto his job - Instead, he's happily quit his job and is now being lined up with a number of the European 'big-boys'.

Surely only in football could such under achievement be rewarded with a job promotion?

Dortmund have been absolutely decimated with injuries this season to key players and mostly injured at the same time. The likes of Hummels, Subotic, Reus, Gundogan, Kuba, Kagawa, Bender have been absent from the team for long periods of the season.

What Klopp has done at Dortmund is excellent. Took them from a mid table team and built a team that every year (bar this one) has challenged Bayern for the title. He's won two league titles, 3 domestic cups and a runner up in the CL. This is a team that regularly loses it's best players to it's biggest rivals in Bayern.

Whoever gets him will be getting a world class coach and a great character too.

Why? Delighted for Karl Robinson. Young coach who's been close a couple of times and stuck with it and has finally won promotion.

Gerrard is bigger than the Beatles.

Can't remember who said it but I read this week that Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, if in the premier league would win it by 15-20 points. I have to agree totally. Barcelona made PSG look like schoolboys who in turn, schooled Chelsea with their best player sent off

Ridiculous isn't it. I can understand Liverpool giving him a bit of a fanfare. He's been a borderline great for them.

Not a player I've ever really rated that highly, of course he was in the top end of PL players in his prime, but was never world class. Despite the worshiping on the BBC and elsewhere over the weekend, there is a reason Liverpool didn't want to give him a new contract, he didn't warrant it. He's been average for a few years, his much heralded transition into Andrea Pirlo never happened and he was a liability for Liverpool in the deeper role. He'll be immortalised by Liverpool fans for being the best player in the world ever and remembered by everyone else for the slip that cost Liverpool the title. His personal life wasn't without incident either and only his Liverpool FC captain status kept him out of prison, which was wrong.

There should be far more being made of Frank Lampard's exit from English football than Slippy G's IMO.
