Well that's a first
Not sure how that could have come about with Ellis' deep pockets, so I sincerely hope we have re-imbursed him ??

A bit strange but Lachlan seems OK with it.

What it shows to me, and tbh I’m a bit relieved, is that Ellis/Powell know the value of a player.

There is always the risk that when you have cash on the hip that in sport you will spend it because you can, this is not wise.

We’ve thrown a marker down to clubs, agents and players that we only pay what we think a player is worth. LW had the sense to realise it a short career and this was his chance, he’ll get it back down the line I’m sure.

There’s a couple of extremely pathetically bitter Fax fans. Embarrassing.

I doubt it and I hope not tbh. Ellis is a businessman and has a budget. LW knows he’s being given a huge chance and if he takes it he’ll get and back and then some.

It's an odd situation, I heard of footballers paying their release clause before, which is similar, but it says a lot that he wanted out that much he was willing to use his own money.

It was more for the benefit of the 'bitter' Halifax fans.

No doubt SaRL will run a negative slant story similar to the Kershaw doing Hermes deliveries during covid.
