It used to be the case that a shareholder used to be giving it the ‘big I am’ in the greenhouse every weekend. Used to drive me mad. I’d like to think idle gossip has dried up massively over last four years.
However if a member of staff is throwing stuff around I’d like to know.
I think I’ve nailed this latest one. I was with our fantastic volunteers on Friday in the mushroom shed, telling them what a great job they’d done getting the ground ready, and as I left, I mentioned to them that I’d just had Wigan and Leeds on the phone.........

There's the simple reality of it, a bit of everyday gossip and banter taken out of context, it is what it is, an unfounded rumours which at some stage in our support of the club we've all been guilty of believing, why the need for some people to seriously get their nickers in a twist and post 5 or 6 posts lecturing on the morals of the OP.s post is beyond me. :CHILL:

I would hope that the club are now in a more comfortable financial position where we don't HAVE to listen to any offers should they come in. Hopefully, gone are the days of simply accepting any cash offer that comes in for a player, regardless of their importance to the team.

Thanks must go to MC and CB for getting the financial state of the club under some control.

Strangely enough, I’ve lost more then one sponsor over the last 4 years on the back of ‘unfounded rumours’ so not quite as harmless as it might seem

Hence why it drives me mad

I can fully understand your frustration in that case, my post was not aimed at you personally, I simply used part of your post to illustrate how easy it is to set these rumours going, and also in the case of other posters who choose to sit on the moral high ground on a regular basis who have chosen this thread to a needless challenge on the OP.

PS. Apologies If you are not one of the posters who take take the moral high ground at every opportunity as I don't want to be accused of discrimination by some.

Coming from you that's rich, my irony meter has broken big style - you owe me a fiver. Seriously, read some of your own posts before taking the moral high ground, which incidentally is exactly what you've just done :NAUGHTY:

Does anyone remember when the rumour mill was nothing more pernicious than who had been spotted doing donuts in the Superbowl carpark? I preferred that - much less harmful.

I guess there's a lesson in this - if you know someone who works at the club and they share confidential info with which you then repeat, a) you are risking their job and b) you are potentially damaging the club; the conclusion, I would've thought, is self evident?

Re: Johnstone enquiries : Tue Feb 13, 2018 12:40 pm
I tend to find if someone tries to give some credibility to what they are saying by making reference to someone in the know its usually to be taken with a pinch of salt. I also get "told" things by people who know people but most of it is pure conjecture and speculation and until I see a club statement its just rumour

I just hope this doesn't lead to any unsettling within the club as the strength of feeling is obvious

Before you post next time some pointer, sorry I know it sounds patronising but hey.

I'll give you the benefit that no malice was intended but it was a bit of a childish post tbh.

Above I've just selected two sentences of your non moral high ground taking condescending posts, hope you don't mind :D

No moral high ground seeking here, just pointing out that 6 posts is a bit excessive just to make a point to a rumour put on here about a transfer, you seriously need to drop the attitude and perhaps seek out some sort of anger management course, unless you do the unthinkable and ignore all those who post on here with just the intention of upsetting you, just a thought.

Keinhorst is ooc at Leeds this year so couldn't really be offered as a makeweight anyway.
