Asked my friend who is related to him. Says he’s coming, won’t miss a tackle, will get over the gain line regularly but doesn’t break tackles as much as he could. Plays loose.

He isn’t rubbish by any means but he’s probably only in the next category. Pretty much bog standard and definately no better than what we will be getting off the books to pay for him. The grass is always greener though....

Dare I say our recruitment last off season, Hampshire aside, was poor. Desperately in need of a blockbuster backrower in the mould of Junior Moors and we go for George King? Fair enough if budget won't allow but it just seems we're going backwards player wise

You will never please every one with recruitment.
Joe Wardle was our stand out signing but he's hardly played due to injury. Mitch Clarke was signed and shipped out on loan but he's been brought in for the last few games and done superbly as an interchange prop.
I realise you wouldn't know Wilzay but Moors has been playing prop this year.

I assume this is in reference to your "prop signing for Warrington" and "new signing" comments on your board and that the current club are keeping it quiet because he is a fans favourite?

The only prop I can see at Wakey falling into the fans favourite category is Big Dave and he only signed a new 2 year contract last year with the option of a third.

Before he signed his contract last year he had offers to go elsewhere and made specific reference to the fans and his team mates at Wakefield as to why he stayed.

Therefore, I cannot see why we would allow him to join Warrington nor why he would want to only 1 year into that new deal.

Our team is a different proposition with him in it and it would be absolute madness for us to let him go whilst still under contract, especially if the option of a third year allows us to exercise it.

If you are referring to any other players within the team, then all the ones who would carry the "fans favourite" label imo are also tied down to contracts with multiple years to go, so again why would we allow them to sign for Warrington unless Moran is throwing silly money at us as a transfer fee.

Even if a big transfer fee was involved, I believe any such deal would seriously undermine all the good work that MC has done over the last few years in getting the vast majority of the fan base onside and making us believe the days of us letting our best players leave prematurely were over.

Good post tricky
All any one need do is follow big Dave on instagram to see how much he loves the club and his team mates

Dave after years of trying to find a home has finally found one at wakefield trinity
His back story in getting to us has being a real tough one too for him

I hope he can bring his family back again next year too because that will only make him happier and I'm sure help him on the pitch too

Don't worry Tricky it can't possibly be true. Established Wakefield players only go to Leeds. Promising young Wakefield players only go to Huddersfield.

You are probably right with the "Bog standard" comment in the present time, but so was Kirmond when he signed from Hudds. He then became probably one of the most in demand second row forwards in the comp. Players thrive in different environments as Wakefield fans we should know that more than anyone else as we seem to do well out of players that are not deemed to be quite good enough. I imagine if he is coming that he wont break the bank and will be hungry to prove himself, as a squad player he would be a decent signing for me.

So you keep saying, although you mentioned earlier that the fans of the current club of the player will soon be questioning why he has not signed an extension to his contract where as before you was saying you had paid a fee for this player? If you are talking about big Dave he is signed up for next season already, so we don`t need him to sign an extension for him to play with us in 2019. Arona is OOC this year and we already know barring a U turn from our coaching staff he will not be with us next season.

Some of your comments I have seen from you surrounding Wire been able to sign who you want regardless of contracts are arrogant and hilarious at the same time as I actually think that you believe that in your own head.
