I didn't want him to leave either but he always was and still is a bit too good to be sat on a bench, we absolutely need em but its quite difficult to hold on to players like that, they need a regular top of the tree gig.
Wing is a bit awkward, its not a position that smashes you to hell and back every game leaving you actually needing a break generally.
I'm sure the coaching staff tried to give him games to keep him sweet but in the end rotating wingers ain't a "thing".
Anyway, glad to hear he's back..
